Including children in their own education - report in The Psychologist

The Division of Educational and Child Psychology annual conference was held in Northampton this year. The theme was 'A 20:20 vision of Educational Psychology: play, learning, inclusion and diversity'. My report from the conference covers neuroscience, including trans children, segregation within mainstream schools, and play. You can read the report here.

Adolescents need sleep to learn - new post on BOLD blog

Interview with Peter Lee about experiences of armed drone pilots in The Psychologist

I asked Professor Peter Lee about his field research with RAF Reaper drone pilots, which is reported in detail in his book Reaper Force. He said that 'there is a spectrum of responses to killing far-off enemies', and told me that it is wrong to assume that drone pilots dehumanise their targets. Read the interview here.
